KAWASAKI ANNOUNCES TIKTOK ACCOUNT

Kawasaki sent out a follow request for their new TikTok account on April 24. “Follow Us For Good Times! @Kawasakiusa_ is the TikTok account where all the Good Times are at. Follow for the latest and greatest exclusive content.” Technically TikTok is being banned in the U.S.

In a curious coincidence, the eblast came the same day that President Joe Biden signed a bill that includes a ban on the popular social media platform. The President’s signature comes after the U.S. Senate approved the “Protecting Americans From Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act” with a 79-18 majority on April 23. This means the popular video-sharing App with more than 170 million users now faces a nationwide ban.

This ban arrives following warnings from the FBI that ByteDance — TikTok’s owner — could potentially share sensitive data with China’s government.

Good times?
