THE DISTINGUISHED GENTLEMAN’S RIDE COMMEMORATES  A DECADE OF DAPPER ON MAY 18

During the past decade the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride has brought together more than 500,000 riders to don their finest dapper drip and ride classic and vintage motorcycles in a show of solidarity for raising the profile of men’s health. This year, tens of thousands of dapper-dressed bike enthusiasts and health advocates will take to the streets in cities worldwide on Sunday, May 18th, commemorating DGR’s 10th Anniversary.

“What started as a small ride in 64 cities has grown into over 1,000 cities in 2025,” says DGR founder Mark Hawwa.  “Our partnership with Movember has allowed us to turn passion into purpose on a global scale, contributing to funding research and delivering programs for prostate cancer and men’s mental health around the world. In the last 10 years, our community has ridden dapper for Movember; and we’re excited to see what the next 10 years will bring.”  In 2025, the ride anticipates over 120,000 riders across 1,000 cities in over 100 countries, further celebrating the event’s impact on men’s health worldwide.

In 2016, Movember became the official charity partner, helping to channel the event’s fundraising efforts into life-changing men’s health programs, including groundbreaking research in prostate cancer and essential mental health and suicide prevention initiatives. From 2016 to 2024, Movember has allocated over $12.5 million from campaign proceeds to projects in the USA including prostate cancer research funding, Movember’s True North program to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of men living with and beyond prostate cancer, initiatives to prevent the progression of high-risk prostate cancer to advanced disease, online cancer resources, social connections programs for motorcycle riders, and mental health programs for Veterans and First Responders, among others.

“Ten years of partnership with DGR is a milestone worth celebrating,” claims Dan Cooper, Director of Innovation at Movember. “This event embodies the kind spirit of community and purpose that drives Movember forward. Every year, we see riders uniting behind a common goal and having important conversations shoulder to shoulder, massively contributing to funding the important work we deliver all over the world.”

“Every year, the energy on the streets is electric,” Cooper adds. “From the tailored suits to the rumble of vintage motorcycles, it’s a sight to behold. But most importantly, it’s a reminder that no man should face a health crisis alone.”

There is still time to join the ride and spread the word:
