Speaking of Washougal, former Miss Supercross and wife of a Navy SEAL, Dianna Dahlgren Bates is Grand Marshal for this weekend’s 45th running of the FLY Racing Washougal National Presented by Peterson CAT. The Pro Motocross Championship salutes the men and women of the Armed Forces with the annual “Military Appreciation Race” in honor of our military veterans and active duty members.
Because of her position as a business owner and public figure within the health, fitness and wellness space — in addition to the distinction of being one of the most notable women in the industry — Dahlgren Bates became an obvious, yet unique choice for Grand Marshal, according to MX Sports Pro Racing media manager Brandon Short. “The popular nutrition and fitness expert and longstanding industry figure, best known for her historic run as Miss Supercross, Dianna has remained a passionate ambassador for the sport and is also a proud advocate of members of the military as the wife of a former Navy SEAL, Ryan Bates.”
In this honorary role, Dahlgren Bates will be a central figure in the variety of special events scheduled throughout race weekend.
