INDIAN UPRISING

The much-anticipated Indian Motorcycle FTR 1200 has launched. The 1203cc V-Twin engine is said to deliver 120 horsepower and 85 ft-lbs of low-end torque. MSRP for the base FTR 1200 in basic black is $12,999 — $1,700 more than Harley-Davidson's Forty-Eight and Roadster Sportsters. Goodies include 43mm Sachs USD cartridge forks and 320mm dual disc Brembo Monobloc 4-piston front brakes. The ups-spec S model gets gold forks that are preload, compression and rebound adjustable. Rake and trail are 26.3° and 130mm.

The FTR 1200 is set to go on sale in the first half of 2019, so look for dealer deliveries between April-June 2019.
