Moving Forward 2020

Is your resume up to date? Update your resume with these 5 quick tips!

1) Provide clear heading in all sections of your resume. Readers should be able to find the info they are looking for immediately at a glance.

2) Include information relevant to the job you're applying for! Especially if those jobs provided relevant experience. The space on your resume is limited, so omit any experience that is taking up space.

3) Don't just say what you did at your previous job. Share how your work impacted the bottom line. Don't say, "I sold parts." try, "I advised and sold parts to customers, resulting in a 10% increase to parts sold."

4) Relevance is key! Include any skills relevant to the job you're applying to and omit the skills that don't apply.

5) Research keywords! Many companies use resume scanning to quickly find relevant candidates. Make sure you don't have keywords abbreviated to avoid being skipped. For example, "A tech" vs "A-level Motorcycle Technician".

Utilize these tips and update your resume for 2020!
