John F. Murphy's first column as Publisher of Dealernews, circa August 1990. John had paid his dues for 7 years with stints at the Dealer Expo and five years working for previous publisher Don Emde before becoming Publisher. Yesterday marked John’s birthday and the bittersweet anniversary of his first retirement from Dealernews back in 2000. The good news is that he is back in the saddle and celebrated the occasion with his new grandson!
