BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME…

Speaking of tool time, Tim Taylor needed one of these!  BILDTRAK is a modular cube 12⅛” W × 12⅛” D × 13⅛” H built around a rugged, impact-resistant polypropylene shell featuring reusable, wipe-clean self-healing foam panels. Mechanics draw bolt patterns directly onto the writable surface, press fasteners into the foam in the exact order and position they came from, and write assembly notes next to the hardware so there’s no confusion when it’s time to reassemble.

“I was raised in the garage using scraps of cardboard and a marker to track bolt locations and note how a project went back together,” explains Scott Shaffstall, Co-Founder and CEO of BILDTRAK Inc. “We created BILDTRAK to make that project management easier for every kind of builder – from DIYers who need months to finish a project, to aerospace engineers blueprinting complex, multi-phase builds.”

according to Schaffstall, there are three ways to use the BILDTRAK system:

1. Workbench. Unfold the panels flat to create a full work surface on a shop bench.

2. Mobile. Take the cube to the job site and view the map upright.

3. Wall-Mount. Permanently mount BILDTRAK to a shop wall for easy reference.

“On an engine rebuild, there’s no such thing as a bolt that ‘looks about right.’ Every fastener has a home, a torque spec and a reason it goes there – get one wrong and you’re not looking at an inconvenience, you’re looking at failure. When every bolt is labeled, you can walk away for a week and pick the project back up without missing a step,” adds Bisi Ezerioha, founder, Bisimoto Engineering.

The BILDTRAK G-1 is available for presale exclusively at www.bildtrak.com at $119.99 through the launch window. Orders are scheduled to ship by January 31, 2027. Click here:
