In addition to winning the Daytona 200 again, Ducati delivered more than one billion euros to the topline revenue, combined with a benchmark profitability. The company attributes the positive results to its “competitive positioning in the two-wheel sector and the effectiveness of the strategic choices made in recent years.” The result is a product range that represents the best fusion of beauty, performance and technology.
“It has been a year of great satisfaction — both on and off the track — and our financial results officially conclude it,” claims Claudio Domenicali, Ducati CEO. “I couldn’t be prouder of the numbers we registered: we have surpassed one billion in revenue, reaching an EBIT of 91 million euros and a benchmark profitability of 9.1%. All of this, despite the challenges that have shaped our target industry in recent times.”
Ducati CFO Henning Jens explains, “2024 was a complicated year due to the particularly challenging market conditions the whole business faced. In this context, we chose to focus on protecting overall profitability, prioritizing long-term sustainability rather than just aiming at increasing sales volumes. This approach, combined with further improvements of our efficiency, is in line with our premium strategy and it allowed us to conclude the year with a profitability that reached 9.1% return on sales and an operating result that shows our ability to generate value and guarantee a solid financial base also under difficult circumstances.”
These are figures that incorporate, like a broad umbrella, successes across several fronts, such as important racing victories, the introduction of an increasingly exclusive model range, the expansion into new territories and the creation of more and more engaging experiences. I believe they reflect the strength of a brand that today knows how to keep a growing community dreaming.
“The 2024 results confirm the strength of our brand and the company’s ability to generate the financial resources that allow us to continue to invest and consolidate the excellence, value and exclusivity of our products,” says Domenicali. “Leading a company like Ducati means pushing the limits of performance and never compromising when it comes to innovation, always driven by the passion that defines us,” he notes. “It’s a balance that requires the ability to adapt to an increasingly competitive environment without ever losing sight of our DNA, and without failing in our commitment to those who choose us every day: the Ducatisti.”
“People. Teamwork. Passion. This is exactly what we can rely on at Ducati, and I am deeply grateful to work alongside such a dedicated group,” concludes Domenicali. A heartfelt thanks also goes to our Ducatisti: your love for the brand is more alive than ever and this is our greatest success!
