„Da schaut’s her”

Extra, Extra! Read all about it. “The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung turned the spotlight on KTM AG – and found a company back in motion,” said Gottfried Neumeister, CEO & Chairman of the Executive Board of KTM AG | CEO of Bajaj Mobility AG. “When I took over as CEO in January 2025, we were fighting for survival. More than 100 banks, a full year’s production sitting unsold, and an industry watching whether we would make it… This feature tells the story of where we stand today — and I couldn’t be prouder of this team!”

Neumeister attributes the turnaround to a changed mindset. “In Q2 2026, we delivered our first positive operating result since the restructuring. Sales grew by almost 92% in the first half-year, revenue by more than 109%. We are smaller than before – but healthier, faster, and sharper.”

But it wasn’t easy.  “The lessons were hard: growth financed by debt, complexity from side ventures, the ambition to be the biggest instead of the best. We have corrected the course. Motorcycles are our core business — full stop. Developed in Austria, raced around the world, backed by a strong partner in Bajaj Mobility.”

Team work is making KTM’s dream work. “With Petra Preining to look after our finances, Stephan Reiff sharpening how we speak to our riders and Christof Lischka joining as Chief Technology & Product Officer on October 1st, our Executive Board is complete — and READY TO RACE,” Neumeister concluded.

“Thank you, Walter Wille and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, for the visit to Mattighofen.”
