HUSQVARNA JOINS SUPERMOTO SURGE

Husqvarna is the latest OEM to announce a new Supermoto-specific bike for 2021. Featuring lightweight frames and minimalist bodywork, the new FS 450 gets a revised suspension and a shortened wheelbase for even sharper steering. Beefed up Brembo brakes and blacked out Alpina wheels round out the refinements for MY2021.

The WP XACT forks with AER technology get a new mid-valve damping system that ensures a more consistent front-end suspension performance, according to Husky. Further enhancing the machine’s maneuverability, a new 22mm diameter front axle and a 7mm reduction in the base offset of the forks sharpens turning and overall agility. New, low-friction linkage seals have also been integrated into the suspension package.

Sometimes you have to slow down to go fast, so the 4 piston radially-mounted Brembo brake caliper and master cylinder work in conjunction with a 310mm disc to deliver front wheel stopping power. A single piston brake caliper and a 220mm disc are mounted at the rear.

The FS 450 features premium components, including CNC-machined triple clamps, Alpina wheels and Bridgestone tires, a carbon fiber composite subframe and a MAGURA hydraulic clutch, ensuring unrivalled, top-level supermoto performance.
