Mark your calendars for a worthy cause! The Friends of Steve McQueen are inviting everyone in SoCal to join them in support of Steve McQueen's alma mater, Boys Republic. This year's "On Any Sunday Car & Motorcycle Show" is set for Sunday, June 5 at Boys Republic in Chino Hills.
Founded in 1907 in an effort to treat troubled teenagers without sending them to jail with adult criminals, Boys Republic is a private, non-profit, nonsectarian community for at-risk boys and girls ages 13-17. It requires youth to become responsible for their own actions, earn part of their way through a program of meaningful work, respectful of the rights of others and accountable to their peers through a system of student self-government. Steve McQueen himself was a 1946 alumni and he continued to assist Boys Republic throughout his life.
Established in 2008 by members and friends of the 356 Club of Southern California, the event attracts motorcycle, off-road motorsports enthusiasts and car fanatics from around the world.
