Don’t have a kid to take dirt biking? Big kids can join in on the fun of motorcycling at one of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation’s RIDE Day events. RIDE Day MOTO Intros give the moto-curious a real first taste of riding in a controlled, low-stress environment built specifically for learning. Hosted by MSF-certified Rider Coaches and held in conjunction with dealers, the RIDE Day series is one of several efforts to promote May as Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, according to Corey Eastman, MSF’s Director of Rider Education Expansion.
“First, we have focused on May for our MSF RIDE Day events, with the last weekend being our SUPER RIDE Day WEEKEND. With 40 ranges across the country offering people the chance to try riding for the first time,” Eastman elaborates. “For many people, the hardest part is simply finding a place to begin. RIDE Day offers a welcoming first step close to home, with the guidance and equipment needed to get a feel for riding in the right environment.” And the local dealership is the place where it all comes together.
“Second, is our MSF DIY Challenge. This is a social media-based challenge, promoting our series of DIY Drills designed to help riders download and practice their riding skills,” he adds. “For people who already ride, this is a great way to brush up on your skills!” Click here for more DIY details:
