It starts with a bright idea, then the hard work really starts! Industry visionary Sid Humphreys saw the National Powersports Dealer Association’s formation and asked why there was nothing for the road reps in this industry… finding no answers, he took it upon himself and the Powersports Rep Association’s initial meeting is coming 5/29 7pm est.
“In an effort to keep a quality standard for dealers and the industry as a whole, this thought is becoming a reality thanks to those who’ve stood up,” says Humphreys. “For some time now, I have been thinking of a way to get the traditional powersports reps in line with the best intentions of the industry — and the greater good of the dealers… I’m looking forward to next week!”
Dealernews readers had the holeshot on Humphreys vision of PRA when he fired a shot across the industry’s bow in the March issue’s “Backfire” column: “My vision would be for this association to be run by industry leading reps or former reps who coordinate with dealers and fellow field reps. Meetings and discussions would make this a beneficial partnership — with both parties working to help one another.”
