Named after the fabled sword of the samurai, the new 2020 KATANA was unveiled alongside the original, iconic 1982 Katana. While separated by years, but not spirit, these unique motorcycles mechanically demonstrate Suzuki’s continual commitment to craftsmanship and performance encapsulated with distinctive, angular styling.
Just like at the unveiling at EICMA, Suzuki took the wraps off the 2020 Katana to the tune of traditional taiko drums, while a samurai cut off the covers with a real "katana" blade at the International Motorcycle Shows kick off in Long Beach this weekend. Seven drummers from The Taiko Project, a professional taiko drum corps, provided its authentic sound http://taikoproject.org/
Both the original Katana, a pristine example on loan from the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, and the new KATANA will be on display in the Suzuki booth during the entire IMS Show Tour.
