The motorcycle media has been decimated in the past two years, so it was heartening to see two of our favorite survivors teaming up. Avantgarde analog leader Iron & Air Magazine has teamed up with digital powerhouse Bike EXIF to probe there is strength in numbers. Iron & Air began as a way to find like-minded individuals by highlighting motorcycle culture in a new and unique way. “Fast-forward 9 years, 41 issues, and 750,000+ engaged fans later and it's clear we've succeeded in finding a few people to ride with us,” says co-founder Adam Fitzgerald.
“Our commitment from day one has not wavered: to create a place for others to discover new facets of this culture, and to be inspired to chase and create stories of their own. In our pursuit, we too found ourselves gravitating toward others with the same goals in mind. One of these individuals was Chris Hunter from Bike EXIF. Hunter started Bike EXIF 12 years ago with a similar purpose in mind. A curiosity grew into a full-time job, and through Chris’ passion and commitment to quality, Bike EXIF is now the number one site on the Internet for custom motorcycling. More than 1 million people visit the site each month to see the latest in custom creations from the world’s premier builders.
“Our combined mission will be to deliver the premium analog and digital experience to motorcycle enthusiasts while connecting custom builders, motorcycle manufacturers and brands to a passionate audience of millions,” adds Fitzgerald. He notes both brands will continue to operate independently, with Hunter still leading the charge on the Bike EXIF as Editor-in-Chief and Wes Reyneke as Senior Editor.
“Readers and fans will benefit from the combined efforts of Iron & Air Magazine and Bike EXIF – two properties built by motorcyclists with the goal of creating content, products, and experiences specifically tailored for a diverse audience of enthusiasts. We want to thank everyone for their support and the overwhelmingly positive response we have received from the community thus far. We can assure you, the ride only gets better from here.”
