Electric motorcycle pioneer Energica hosted the eponymous “Energica Week 2022” for investors, suppliers, dealers and owners on September 5-9. The second annual Energica event provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate the company’s exponential growth. Crediting the new ownership, Ideanomics, for its expansive growth in sales, new dealers, market development and workforce efficiencies, they were happy to show off.
Specially for the U.S. market, retail sales year-to-date are five times greater than the previous year. New dealer agreements have expanded the American network from 14 to 25 dealers. This includes nine new states: Colorado, Hawaii, New Jersey, New Mexico, Utah and Washington State. Pre-sale deposits for the groundbreaking Experia ADV model have been received for over two months’ worth of production.
Energica is also charging ahead globally. And the claim retail sales around the world increased 104% year-to-date. The worldwide network has expanded to 95 dealers, including intensification in existing key markets of France, Germany and the UK. Energica has also entered into new markets including Australia, Eastern Europe, Portugal, Pakistan and Nepal. Institutional sales are helping open these new markets as Energica is well positioned to secure contracts with government agencies, enabling them to replace fossil fuel-powered motorcycles with Energica bikes.
“The Energica story embodies several generations of craftsmanship and technology maturity from the traditional automotive industry in the Italian Motor Valley,” explains Livia Cevolini. “Energica is taking the best of the past, present and future to move towards a new sustainable world.”
Next stop Köln, Germany, to join in the eNNOVATIONS being presented at the Intermot trade fair.
