MIC PULLS BACK THE CURTAIN

What Is Data Really Telling Us?

David Savlowitz of Competitive Analytics claims, “The motorcycle market is telling a story — but its most consequential signals are often buried beneath millions of individual transactions.” MIC’s go-to guy for deeper data-driven dives, Savlowitz is a professor at the University of California Irvine teaching Predictive Analytics for the Master of Science in Business Analytics program and a guest lecturer for Swiss Education Group in Leysin, Switzerland. He will pull back the curtain during Deciphering the Ride —the next MIC Symposium set for October 29, at 10 a.m.

This Symposium will offer a fast-paced, 30-minute online exploration of what data can tell us about the industry. Drawing on an extraordinarily granular history of motorcycle sales and prices by product type, geography, and other market dimensions, Savlowitz will use advanced analytics and artificial intelligence to uncover hidden market insights.

After revealing what both advanced analytics and AI discovered within the data, he will pull back the curtain and briefly demonstrate how massive data preparation, prompt engineering, embedded analytics, multiple AI models, and AI-assisted storytelling transformed raw transactions into actionable industry intelligence.

Deciphering the Ride is free for MIC members. $150 for non-members (refunded if you join MIC by November 29, 2026). Register here:
