Indian Motorcycle, AKA Polaris Inc., is rolling out its new "Challenger Challenge" during Daytona Bike Week. Customers will be allowed to test ride the Challenger and a Road Glide Special one after the other, which begs the question who maintains the Harleys? Brakes dragging, bad gas, remapped EFI… the opportunity for skullduggery notwithstanding, the first challenge on March 6 kicks of a full series of comparison testing. The tour will stop at select Indian Motorcycle dealers, motorcycle rallies and events, including Sturgis in August.
While Pappy Hoel may have launched the Sturgis Rally as a way to drum up business for his Indian Dealership, it has long been hallowed ground for Harley riders.
