Speaking of Royal Enfield flashbacks, it seems like just yesterday our friend Bree Poland was explaining her crazy concept for Royal Enfield’s Build.Train.Race. Then COVID came and she doubled up on the BTR Flat Track program, for women, added Slide School to the mix and added BTR roadracing to the mix. This was back in 2020:
Now BTR has crowned its 2026 champion Emma Gottsch at a final round battle royale with Royal Enfield’s Madicela Rodriguez. Gottsch secured the overall championship, following an outstanding year of consistency and speed but Rodriguez closed the season in spectacular fashion, earning her second consecutive BTR Flat Track victory. The pair exchanged the lead multiple times in the opening laps before Rodriguez took control, steadily extending her advantage to cross the finish line more than four seconds ahead of the field.
While Rodriguez finished the season on a high, the 2026 championship was secured by Emma’s steady on approach. After collecting three victories and two runner-up finishes across the five-round championship, Gottsch clinched the BTR Flat Track title with an exceptional display of consistency and race-winning pace throughout the season.
“It’s been another great season where the championship has gone down to the wire,” said Adrian Sellers, Head – Custom & Motorsport at Royal Enfield. “Each year this program delivers close racing, some standout performers, but most importantly, progress and development for every rider throughout the field, which is the whole ethos of the program and will help continue to grow the sport. We’re proud of every rider who competed in this year’s campaign and love witnessing the progression throughout the year. We can’t wait to see what next year brings.”
The 2026 BTR Flat Track season once again showcased the program’s mission of developing the next generation of women in motorcycle racing by providing participants with the opportunity to build, train and compete aboard Royal Enfield motorcycles. With competitive racing throughout the season and multiple riders starring in breakthrough performances, the championship continues to demonstrate the strength and growth of women’s flat track racing.
