#FlashbackFriday

This week marked 40 years since America’s first win at the 1981 Trophee and Motocross des Nations events in Belgium and Germany letting the world know the USA’s dominance in the sport had begun. Commemorating history and celebrating the announcement of a new film, Pipeline Digital Media’s Todd Huffman brought together the legendary “B” Team at Moto Doffo on Wednesday.

“As most know the story, the Americans were discounted by the Europeans as the “B Team” and not America’s best when they shocked the world with winning both weekends on the 250cc and 500cc Hondas,” said Huffman in announcing 1981 — The Story Of America’s 1981 Motocross des Nations Team — A new feature-length documentary film about America's 1981 Trophee and Motocross des Nations Team who became the first US team to win these events. Production begins 2022. Release date tentative for Fall, 2023.

“Super great day and event yesterday to celebrate the USA's 1981 Trophee and Motocross des Nations Team,” he added. “Huge thanks to Roger DeCoster, Dave Arnold, Danny LaPorte, Chuck Sun and Donnie Hansen for believing in the event. Laurette Nicoll did a great job as our MC and the Doffo Winery was the perfect setting!”

Stay tuned for updates!
