Maybe it should have been named biggest loser rather than “Ugliest Trade-In” — in any case National Powersport Auctions has announced the final three July “winners” with congratulations (or is that condolences) going to Skyline Harley-Davidson in Winchester. VA; Republic Harley-Davidson in Stafford, TX; and Frontier Harley-Davidson in Lincoln, NE.
“After listening to 20 group discussions, dealer visits and industry feedback, we see that dealers need more trade-in opportunities,” notes National Sales Manager Mike Murray. “No matter how ugly, every trade-in is potentially free money for dealers. We are ready to help all franchised dealers take those UGLY trades using our Direct Buy program. "Thank you to all who participated in making it fun and humorous.”
The joke started on April 1—no fooling and ran through July 31. Three Direct Buy units were selected each month. Winners had their trade-in mounted on NPA'S UGLIEST TRADE-IN Wall of Fame and a Winner's certificate.
“We may do it again, but I can only take so much ugly per quarter,” laughs Murray. In the meantime NPA does have something special coming for the NPDA Dealer Connect event coming in October, he adds.
