Troy Lee Designs is now heading up U.S. distribution for Shark Helmets. “I am stoked to be partnering and joining forces with Shark Helmets as their North America distributor," notes eponymous company founder Troy Lee.
Makes sense given Shark bought TLD from VC Spanos Barber Jesse & Co. (SBJ) back in March. Based in Marseille, France, Shark manufactures more than 300,000 helmets. They are distributed in 70 countries via 5,000 distributors worldwide, with TLD being the latest point of distribution.
Look for Shark to take a bite out of the U.S. helmet biz heading into the New Year, propelled by the passion and professionalism of Troy Lee Designs. "It is a dream come true to be able to work with MotoGP and roadrace riders at all levels and expand my involvement into the street market," concludes Troy Lee.
