Long a fixture at the Mid-Ohio racetrack during AMA’s VMD festivities, Iron Pony Motorsports has been named the “Official Motorcycle Dealer of the 2022 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days.” Presented by Royal Enfield, VMD is set for July 22-24 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.
“Iron Pony Motorsports is proud to be the Official Motorcycle Dealer for 2022 AMA Vintage Days,” says Sean Reifenberg, Director of Marketing for Irony Pony Motorsports. “We couldn't be more excited to be a part of this year's event.” In addition to being the Official Dealer, Iron Pony will again be participating in the Kenda Kids’ Area, featuring bikes from STACYC and YCF/Piranha.
“We believe it is important for the youth of today to experience the joy of two wheels, which is why Iron Pony is committed to helping get kids involved in the sport from a very early age,” adds Reifenberg.
“It’s great to have a local and very active motorcycle dealer group partner with us as we carry on the fun and tradition of AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days,” notes AMA Editorial Director Mitch Boehm. “It just goes to show why Ohio’s vibrant motorcycle culture and VMD go hand-in-hand — there is really only one place to be in late July.”
The 2022 AMA VMD will also feature AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer and 500cc World Champ Kevin Schwantz as Grand Marshal, who’ll be on hand to sign autographs, speak to enthusiasts from the AMA Soundstage and participate in a Lap For History each day. The three-day event will also include all the vintage-oriented happenings classic-bike fans love, including vintage racing and the biggest motorcycle swap meet in North America, complete with parts, bikes and memorabilia from the past 120 years of motorcycling.
“This sponsorship marks an exciting time for us in the motorcycling industry as we now have three stores in Ohio in Mansfield, Columbus, and the new Lancaster/Carroll store,” concludes Reifenberg. “We have increased our selection to over 35 brands of motorcycles, electric bikes and powersports vehicles. AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days take place in our backyard and we are looking forward to supporting this great event and the community of riders.”
