The design brief called for versatility, confident handling on long road trips, capable performance for spirited riding and track days, and the durability needed for high mileage. Featuring full radial construction, an advanced tread pattern with an angled center groove for straight-line stability and diagonally carved shoulder grooves for secure cornering, the 017 Peak delivers. As a bonus, the balanced groove layout improves water evacuation, providing reliable grip and stability in both dry and wet conditions.
The lightweight carcass, combined with a jointless spiral steel belt, enhances agility, high-speed stability and cornering confidence.
According to WPS, Shinko’s 3-Layer Tread Compound Technology further balances performance and longevity, using a durable center compound for stability and high-grip silica-enriched shoulder compounds for consistent traction and quick warm-up. “The result is a sport radial tire that blends aggressive capability with everyday reliability.”
