Wait, what? The Creative Director for iconic AXO gear circa 1984-1993 and later Art Director for Alpinestars circa 1993-2004 Kenny Safford is now the Chief Designer at Thrashin Supply Co.
Dr. Seuss said, “Don’t be sad it’s over, be happy it happened,” says Safford. “Over two decades at Mechanix Wear (from the garage to millions of happy hands later) have passed. Jim Hale, my first real boss, set me on a career path that has been everything I have ever hoped for. I have made great friends, made some impactful design solutions, and now I am shifting back to the motorcycle scene.”
Bottom line: “Safety is great, but burnouts and wheelies are better!”
