Just in time to roll out the new MAP programs for Shinko and Sedona tires at Western Power Sports national sales meeting in Boise covered in the current issue, Ryan Bush was officially named Shinko Brand Sales Manager. Given that the brand accounts for more than 30% of the distributor’s total two-wheeled sales (WPS sells almost a container-load a day of Shinko tires), this is a lot of pressure on a tire guy! But Bush is used to being in the hot seat, literally. Before joining WPS, Bush worked at Boise Mobile Equipment (BME) manufacturing fire trucks! The #239 is a fixture at the local tracks and stoked to get his race rubber at the employee discount! He also notes his job has been made a little easier by the fact that 94% of the Shinko SKUs were in stock as of the sales meeting and the reps could take dealer orders with confidence.
