SKYLER HOWES TOP AMERICAN IN PROLOGUE

“The prologue today went well. It was super fun and more like a motocross sand track through the trees than a rally stage,” says Top American on the stage Skyler Howes. “It wasn’t perfect, I made some small bobbles out there and a couple of small mistakes, but other than that I’m happy with how it all went. It feels great to be back racing the world championship again and I’m feeling really fired-up now – I can’t wait for tomorrow to get this show on the road!”

Following a break of almost seven months since the last round of the FIM World Rally-Raid Championship, the Rallye du Maroc will give riders the opportunity to get back up to speed ahead of the final round of the 2022 season – the postponed Andalucia Rally – and before the ever-important Dakar Rally in early January.

Speaking of Dakar, former champ and first American to ever win it, Ricky Brabec says he is glad to be back on the bike, even if the Monster Energy Honda Rally Team was hanging back and he had to settle for 13th in the opening classification.
