USED BIKES DIRECT RACES INTO JULY 4th

Used Bikes Direct, one of the country’s leading pre-owned sportbike dealers, has stepped up as title sponsor of the inaugural Moto-Texas Superbike Challenge, presented by the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA) at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, over Fourth of July weekend.
“Backing the Moto-Texas Superbike Challenge is a definitive step forward in our commitment to the sport,” said CEO Daniel Hyde. “We’re passionate about road racing, and our goal is to compete — at the club level, the national level and ultimately on the global stage. This partnership is just the beginning.”
Running July 3–5, 2026, the event marks the first-ever amateur-sanctioned motorcycle road race held at COTA — the same 3.426-mile circuit that hosts Formula 1’s United States Grand Prix and MotoGP’s Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas. Riders from across the country will compete for a share of a $25,000 purse across double-header sprint races, with every race streamed live — making it CMRA’s most ambitious event to date.
“This is exactly the kind of event we want our name on,” added Hyde. “How often does a club racing association put on 100% live-streamed racing, with a real prize purse, at arguably the best track in the country — on the Fourth of July? Come on, this is going to be awesome. We’ve built a great relationship with the new ownership at CMRA and RideSmart Motorcycle School (RS), and titling this event is our way of showing how much we believe in what they’re building.”
Event highlights include:
• A world-class venue shared with MotoGP and Formula 1
• Every race streamed live, start to finish — watch at https://www.youtube.com/@bittingermediasource
• A $25,000 total prize purse distributed across multiple classes
• Friday, July 3 dedicated to practice and qualifying
• Double-header sprint races Saturday and Sunday, July 4–5
• An on-site karting track and amusement park for families
• A single $25 spectator gate fee covering all three days
“Bringing CMRA’s biggest event yet to Circuit of the Americas is a milestone for amateur road racing, and partners like Used Bikes Direct make it possible,” concludes Dave Johnson, Owner, CMRA. “Daniel and his team share our commitment to growing the sport and making it accessible, and we’re proud to have them on board as Title Sponsor of this first-of-its-kind event.”
