If an International Off-Road Day is good, the UTV World Championship week must be even better, right? The world’s biggest UTV race takes place in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, starting next week. The best UTV racers in the world will contest both short course and desert races to decide who is the best UTV racer on the planet! This ensures the event draws the biggest TV, online and social media coverage in the sport of UTV racing.
“We are excited to be back in beautiful Lake Havasu to bring the best UTV racers in the world to battle it out to see who is the world champion,” says UTV World Championship CEO, Matt Martelli. “The four days of UTV festivities kick off Wednesday, October 13th with Rigid Industries Poker Run which starts and finishes out of Standard Wash 5 miles south of town.
For vendors and dealers, the AZ West UTV Festival takes place Thursday, October 14th downtown Lake Havasu City on McCulloch Blvd beginning at 8am. The public is invited to come meet the racers as they parade their vehicles down the street flanked by the top UTV manufacturers and aftermarket brands displaying and retailing their newest products. Qualifying racing will be held beginning at noon in Standard Wash at the UTV World Championship Start/Finish. Racers will determine start positions on a short 1-mile course.
Friday October 15th at 7am kicks off the first day of racing with the short course race followed by multiple classes of youth racing. That afternoon it’s the stock UTV Rally Class race, along with Sportsman and RS1. Saturday October 16th at 7:30 am starts with the Desert N/A and Unlimited Race classes on a technical 4 lap, 114.4-mile desert racecourse. Racing will culminate with the Desert Pro Turbo class, the fastest class in UTV racing.
