One of the nation’s original Penton dealers has passed away. Jim Letellier was co-founder of Letko Competition Cycles in Olathe, Kansas. If you raced in the era, you knew Letko, and most likely Jim. He continued to work at the shop into his 90s! And Letko is still a landmark KTM dealership after more than 50 years.
“I am sad to announce that Dad has passed away. He will be with Mom once again. His time here on earth was filled with adventure, friends and family,” says son Leigh Letellier. “He loved telling stories of his adventures and welcomed anyone who wanted to join him on the next one. He cherished his family and especially his grandkids. He will be missed by all that knew him.”
