STOP THE PRESSES!

Following the recent announcement that Italian brake brand Brembo had bought Öhlins suspension, the Bergamo-based operation busted out big news for the supersport segment. As a leader in high-performance brake systems, Brembo presented its PRO Package and PRO+ Package for supersport motorcycles during EICMA 2024. “These two new front brake packages represent Brembo’s dedication to excellence, which shines through in every product, offering unrivalled quality, innovative solutions and superior performance,” claims Brembo.

The Brembo PRO Package front brake features a T-Drive finned disc and a nickel plated Hypure caliper. A superbike-sized disc (338.5×6.2mm vs. the standard 330x5mm), offers increased surface area through finning to dissipate heat more effectively and maintain lower operating temperatures. Brembo’s Hypure caliper delivers exceptional braking performance by reducing weight. The caliper retains a high rigidity, improving both performance and handling and providing riders with a competitive edge.

Brembo PRO+ Package front brake get an upgraded GP4 Sport Production brake caliper. Born on the racetrack, this billet aluminum monobloc brake caliper represents the pinnacle of engineering. CNC-machined from a solid block of aluminum, it offers unparalleled structural stiffness and reduced weight. The nickel plating enhances corrosion resistance, effectively dissipating heat generated during braking, ensuring consistent performance.

“With the introduction of the PRO Package and PRO+ Package, Brembo reaffirms its position as the undisputed leader in high-performance braking technology, offering riders the ultimate combination of power, precision and reliability,” claims the company. “These innovative brake solutions are designed to deliver exceptional stopping power and control, even under the most demanding conditions. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or a weekend warrior, the PRO Package and PRO+ Package, will elevate your riding experience to new heights.”
