SHIFTING GEARS: HISUN HAS NEW CMO

Charles in charge — this is no TV sitcom but serious business as HISUN Motors USA has announced that Charles Kim has assumed the additional role of Chief Marketing Officer, effective March 10, 2026. This strategic move is part of a broader effort to align the brand’s go-to-market execution. “Charles has been instrumental in shaping how we approach product, brand and market strategy at HISUN,” notes King Dai, Chief Executive Officer of HISUN Motors USA. “This expanded role reflects the impact he’s had and supports our continued focus on building a more aligned and effective organization.”

“The alignment between product, positioning, and channel strategy has made a meaningful impact on how we operate,” adds HISUN VP of Sales Zegin Braun, Vice President of Sales, HISUN Motors USA. “Continuing to integrate marketing into that structure will further strengthen execution.” In his expanded role, Charles will continue to lead product strategy and platform development while also overseeing brand, marketing, and go-to-market execution. This includes aligning product architecture with pricing, positioning, channel strategy, and customer experience.

“HISUN is in a unique position in the market, operating across both big-box retail and dealer channels,” Kim explains. “Bringing product and marketing together allows us to be more intentional in how we define our platforms, how we position them, and how we support them in the market. The goal is to build a more connected and disciplined system — one that aligns product development, brand and execution from the start.”

Charles brings more than two decades of experience across product developmentengineering and go-to-market strategy. As co-founder of Vialink Corp. and SEIZMIK, he led the development of product platforms, aftermarket ecosystems and global sourcing strategies supporting OEM and private-label programs, while building and scaling brands across both dealer and big-box retail channels. Prior to joining HISUN, Charles served as VP of Innovation & Product Development at Nivel, where he led product evaluation and integration efforts across multiple acquisitions, helping unify them into a cohesive UTV aftermarket portfolio.
