SHIFTING GEARS AT INDIAN

Indian Motorcycle has a new chief! Angela Stewart has been promoted to Director, North American Sales & Market Development.  A former dealer principal, Angy most recently served as Indian’s District Manager in Northern California, Nevada and Idaho. “Our four strategic priorities are Brand, Product, U.S. Manufacturing and Dealers,” says Mike Kennedy, CEO of Indian Motorcycle. “Angy brings a valuable combination of industry experience and dealership ownership that will help us strengthen dealer relationships, improve network effectiveness and capitalize on opportunities across our markets. As an avid rider who understands our business from multiple perspectives, her leadership will be instrumental in driving long-term success for the brand.”

In her new role, Stewart will lead commercial execution across North America, with a focus on market share growth and market expansion, according to Kennedy. She will translate the company’s strategy into actionable market plans, drive performance and accountability, and provide leadership with insights to identify and capitalize on emerging market and competitive opportunities.

Angy brings extensive experience across the powersports industry, with a career spanning dealership operations, franchise leadership and field sales. Early in her career, she worked at the dealership level before joining Harley-Davidson, where she served as Director of Franchise Operations. She later owned and operated a multi-line dealership (Wildhorse Harley/Kawasaki) giving her firsthand experience with dealership management, manufacturer-dealer relationships and the opportunities and challenges of running a retail business. Her broad industry experience, combined with her perspective as both a dealer and as a rider, gives her a practical understanding of the opportunities facing dealers and the powersports industry.
