Talking AIMExpo with AMA and MIC in Part III of our conversation with American Motorcyclist Association CEO Rob Dingman and Motorcycle Industry Council CEO Erik Pritchard. A landmark joint statement from the two member-driven associations at the end of April signified a new era of communication and cooperation for the entire powersports industry, however the AIMExpo is a perfect example of the behind the scenes cooperation that has existed, but may not have been recognized. The recent joint memo and this conversation were intended to help clear this confusion up.
On April 28, 2020 a joint statement from the American Motorcyclist Association, Motorcycle Safety Foundation and the Motorcycle Industry Council suggesting motorcyclists "Prepare Now To Ride Again Soon" during the height of the pandemic. We loved the message — "We urge you to contact your local dealer today to determine how they can help you. Your dealer can put your mind at ease by telling you the measures they are taking to ensure your safety, such as phone or online orders, social distancing, drop-off procedures, and more."
