Here is a formula for success as Bell Helmets has collaborated with Roland Sands Design to create the MX-9 MIPS Rally, an all-new race-inspired lid. “I’ve been wearing Bell helmets since my racing days,” said Roland Sands, owner of RSD. “Over the past 10 years, Bell and I have created 30+ graphics across its line of street helmets, but this is our first take on a MX-9 moto helmet."
The MX-9 MIPS Rally graphic honors throwback racing liveries and paint schemes with its bold, color-blocked design and checkered flag cues. Featuring branding from Dunlop, K&N and Motul — all longtime partners of both Sands and his race series, the Super Hooligan National Championship — the helmet graphic lives up to Bell’s and Sands’ racing legacies.
“Roland is a longtime partner of the Bell brand,” said SJ Owen, marketing director at Bell Helmets. “Bell was born from racing, and to work with Sands and other storied brands like Dunlop, K&N and Motul, who also share that heritage, has been a fantastic opportunity. We are excited to see the reaction from motorcyclists and look forward to releasing other graphics with RSD later this year.”
The RSD MX-9 MIPS Rally helmet features a polycarbonate shell; the Mips energy management system; an adjustable visor; Velocity Flow ventilation; and a removable, washable, antimicrobial liner for hosing down after a long ride. Three shell sizes and multiple cheek pads and liners allow for riders to customize fitment easily. Whether you’re at the motocross track or hitting the streets on a tracker, the RSD MX-9 MIPS Rally stands out from the rest.
The RSD MX-9 MIPS Rally comes in XS through XXXL sizes, with different thickness cheek pads and liners to dial in fitment sold separately. The RSD MX-9 MIPS Rally will be available from Bell Helmet dealers for $194.95.
