One of the most storied Harley-Davidson dealerships in history has changed hands and teamed up with another area icon as White’s Harley-Davidson and Iron Valley Harley-Davidson announced new ownership on May Day.
The 1993 Top 100 Dealer of the Year, White’s has been family owned and operated since 1953 when J. Herman White and his wife, Marion, started the business in a Lebanon garage. Marion joined Joe and Donna White for their Dealernews cover. Since then, the White family has grown… and so has the Harley-Davidson family of White’s Harley-Davidson, but the friendly service and attention to detail have remained the same throughout the years.
“We are excited to announce the new ownership of White’s Harley-Davidson and Iron Valley Harley-Davidson. As part of this transition, the two dealerships have officially combined into one stronger dealership,” says marketing manager J. De Angelo. “This merger brings together two proud dealerships with deep roots in the motorcycle community. White’s Harley-Davidson has been serving riders since 1953, and Iron Valley Harley-Davidson since 2003, creating a combined legacy of 109 years of dealership operation.”
Joe and Donna White are excited for this transition as they move into retirement and the dealership family stays together adds DeAngelo. “We are committed to continuing the heritage of both dealerships while retaining the same trusted staff and management teams. This unified team is focused on making White’s Iron Valley Harley-Davidson stronger, better, and more exciting than ever.”
The dealerships have been purchased by Tom and Joya Morrissey and Alan Celmer & Lori Celmer, owners of the Port Clinton Hotel and Celmer Real Estate. “We look forward to serving our customers, growing this dealership, and building it into one of the best Harley-Davidson dealerships in the state.”
