HOWES CAN’T CATCH A BREAK… BUT AT LEAST NOTHING IS BROKEN ON THE BIKE OR HIS BODY!

After nearly crashing out of the Prologue, Skyler Howes is having to play catch up at Dakar 2024. Joining fellow American Mason Klein on the Kove, Howes had to break trail for today’s tough navigational stages through the rocks. Despite a rocky start to the Stage, Howes climbed up the standings into 17th, but is still almost 40 minutes behind the leaders.

“It was quite a long and really hard stage with a lot of rocks,” he said. “It's difficult after yesterday's Prologue, but little by little I have to gain confidence on the bike and make up time in the following days.”
