MIC Board of Directors Election Results Announced

Motorcycle Industry Council members have elected Teri Lynn of Troy Lee Designs to join the MIC Board of Directors and re-elected Robin Hartfiel, Editor of Dealernews, for another term. Jim Woodruff, CEO of National Powersport Auctions, will conclude his service on the board when his term ends in January.

“2025 has seen some unprecedented challenges to the industry with the threat of tariffs becoming a reality,” said Derek Brooks, MIC Board Chairman and Motorcycle Product Line Manager at Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A. “This will continue to be a challenge for us in 2026 and potentially longer. Along with tariffs, we will also face a lot of changes in the next few years with technology, trends, and policy. The association will continue to work toward the goal of promoting and protecting motorcycling in the U.S., and I am looking forward to the contributions Teri and Robin will bring to the board. I would also like to thank Jim Woodruff for his tireless contribution and service to the board.”

Teri Lynn, U.S. Sales Director at Troy Lee Designs, said being elected to the MIC Board is both a professional and personal milestone.

“Being elected to the Motorcycle Industry Council Board of Directors is a tremendous honor and a deeply meaningful opportunity. This industry shaped my life long before it became my career, and serving on the MIC Board allows me to give back in a way that supports riders, retailers, and manufacturers across the entire ecosystem,” Lynn said. “In this role, I aim to support MIC by providing a grounded, field-informed perspective, focused on enhancing the rider experience from end to end, maintaining a healthy and profitable dealer network, and helping our industry adapt to rapid advancements in technology, consumer expectations, and access. I am dedicated to listening, collaborating, and contributing to initiatives that keep motorcycling vibrant, inclusive, and economically strong for future generations.”

Returning board member Robin Hartfiel emphasized continuity and the work ahead.

“Thanks to the vote of confidence from the Motorcycle Industry Council members, it will be an honor to serve on the board for another term,” Hartfiel said. “I have been affiliated with MIC since the early 1990s, when my friend and mentor Don Brown took me to my first Aftermarket Committee meeting. In all that time, MIC staff and leadership have done amazing work. From navigating COVID to getting out in front of PFAS, the challenges to our community continue to mount. Now is when the real work begins.”

The MIC Board includes representation from across the powersports industry. The full board roster beginning in 2026 will be:

I’m grateful for the continued service of our returning board members, excited to welcome new perspectives, and appreciative of the leaders who have helped position the association for the work ahead.”
