TINY BIKES, BIG DEAL AT MECUM Las Vegas

Right after AIMExpo leaves Las Vegas, the folks from Mecum Auctions roll out the red carpet for five custom Strider bikes to help raise funds and awareness for new rider initiatives. “These little bikes are graced with a very big venue,” said Marilyn Stemp, partner in the Flying Piston Benefit. “The Mecum audience is top-notch in appreciating both the craftsmanship of the bikes and the mission they benefit. We are so grateful to Dana Mecum and Ron Christenson for making us welcome.”

The little bikes, customized by renowned custom builders, were actually unveiled at the 7th annual Flying Piston Benefit Builders Breakfast at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip last August. They comprise the fourth class of tiny customs, produced to benefit All Kids Bike, a program of the Strider Education Foundation that makes bike-riding part of kindergarten P.E. classes nationwide. The Tiny Strider Custom program has raised over $53,000, funding more than a dozen schools and impacting thousands of children nationwide.
