Two tickets to paradise? In a dealer brokered by MD Johnson and Rockmoor Consulting, Erik Paulson and Dave Thomas have acquired Paradise Harley-Davidson from long-time owner-operator Mike Durbin. The new dealership will be renamed Steelhead Harley-Davidson and remain at the current Tigard, Oregon, location. Paulson is a Portland native and the former Operating Partner of Micheal’s Toyota in Bellevue, Washington, while Thomas is former operating partner of High Desert Harley in Boise.
“Steelhead Harley-Davidson represents the rebirth of a Harley-Davidson dealership in the Pacific Northwest, designed to restore trust, transparency and inspiration to riders of all kinds,” says Rockmoor’s Andre Lecompte. “Erik and Dave bring over 80 years of combined experience in the automotive and Harley-Davidson industries, having owned and operated top-performing Toyota, Subaru and Harley-Davidson dealerships across the United States.” Steelhead Harley-Davidson combines this deep experience with a fresh, inclusive vision designed to welcome the next generation of riders while revitalizing the experience for existing customers.
“Mike is stepping away from powersports after a more than two-decade career as the owner operator,” adds Lecompte. “He wanted to find the right successors for the community of riders Paradise has built up over the past 20 years. Lecompte (former dealership operator himself) partnered with Dave Thomas of MD Johnson to facilitate the transaction.
