DEALER NEWS: END OF THE ROAD FOR ROUTE 12

The Motor Company is showing signs of recovery, but the venerated brand is not out of the woods yet. Route 12 Harley-Davidson is shutting down on Saturday September 26, 2026. Formerly Hamilton Harley-Davidson before it changed hands just over four years ago, it looks like the end of the road for the Sturgis, Michigan, store.

“It’s been an honor and a privilege to serve our riding community” said the statement to the Route 12 Riders and customers. “Unfortunately, Route 12 Harley-Davidson will be permanently closing. This is not an easy decision, as we have poured our heart and soul into this business over the last 4.5 years.”

However they are going out on a high note with record participation in the Breast Cancer Awareness bash the last weekend of August (bringing more than $17,000 for charity) and events are scheduled right up through September 26.

“It has been a pleasure serving the Sturgis and surrounding areas. We are saddened by the void our closure will leave in the riding community. And we hope to continue to serve you as best as we can until our closure.”
