EICMA TURNS 110!

“EICMA. Leaving our mark for 110 years,” exclaimed Pietro Meda, President of EICMA Spa. “Record numbers of media and exhibitors joined us at Rho Fiera Milano, including 770 exhibitors, representing 45 countries and 2136 individual brands.”  By way of comparison, Meda told the media the very first show held in 1914 at the Kursaal Diana of Porta Venezia had less than 40 stands and exhibitors from six countries.

Now occupying more 330,000 square meters and 10 packed pavilions, EICMA is both the oldest and largest international powersports tradeshow in the world — a fact not lost in the global industry. An estimated 26% of the exhibitors are debuting their wares at EICMA this week… along with some major players returning to the stage as BMW, Harley-Davidson and the Pierer Mobility Group (KTM, GasGas, Husqvarna and MV Agusta) all returned to the world’s largest stage.

“The stage is set for hundreds of world premieres and industry innovations…” concludes Meda. Stay tuned to Dealernews social media channels as we try to keep up with the media scrum for the next couple of days!
