THE GREAT X-CAPE!

Speaking of BIG news from EICMA, we first saw the 2027 X-Cape 1200 in Milan, then U.S. dealers were treated to the North American debut with a drum line at AIMExpo the first week of January. Now the Italian stallion is ready for retail. The iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1937, says the big bore X-Cape adventure motorcycles have arrived and are being delivered to Dealers now.

“Designed in Italy for riders who demand excellence both on and off the pavement, the X-Cape 1200 delivers an exceptional balance of power, agility, style and versatility,” notes Moto Morini USA Chief Operating Officer Chris McGee. “Whether navigating mountain roads, exploring remote trails, or embarking on long-distance journeys, the X-Cape 1200 is engineered to inspire confidence and adventure without compromise.”

Bigger is certainly better for the U.S. market so the powerplant was pumped up. At the heart of the X-Cape 1200 is Moto Morini’s renowned Corsa Corta EVO 87° V-Twin engine, featuring dual overhead cams and eight valves. Designed and engineered in Italy, the liquid-cooled powerplant delivers an impressive 129 horsepower and 78.2 lb-ft of torque at 7,000 rpm, providing strong, responsive performance across the entire rev range.

A tubular steel trellis frame with a removable rear subframe and precision-engineered aluminum cast components cradles the Big Twin. A uniquely designed 6.5-gallon fuel tank wraps low around the engine to centralize mass and lower the center of gravity, enhancing handling, stability, and rider confidence across varying terrain. With a manageable 33-inch seat height, 7.5 inches of ground clearance, and a standard center stand, the X-Cape 1200 offers accessibility without sacrificing adventure capability.

“Advanced rider technology is standard thanks to a comprehensive suite of premium Bosch electronics centered around a sophisticated 6-axis IMU platform,” adds McGee. “Riders can select from four riding modes while benefiting from advanced features including cruise control, a bi-directional quick shifter, lean-sensitive traction control, cornering ABS, cornering lights, and blind-spot radar.”

The package is rounded out by 19 inch front/17 inch rear hoops, big Brembo binders and premium KYB suspension components front and rear: Fully adjustable 48mm inverted forks provide 7.1 inches of travel with preload, compression, and rebound adjustment.

The X-Cape 1200 is available in two striking color options. The new Carrara White features a brilliant white finish accented by contemporary red and black graphics, while the timeless Italia Red showcases bold black, gray, and white graphics that highlight Moto Morini’s unmistakable Italian heritage. “Like every Moto Morini motorcycle, the X-Cape 1200 is designed in Milan, Italy combining sophisticated aesthetics with purposeful functionality.”

With an MSRP of $12,999, the 2027 Moto Morini X-Cape 1200 is backed by The Best Warranty in Motorcycling, 3-years unlimited-miles, delivering exceptional peace of mind and value.
