According to the latest RideReport from the Motorcycle Industry Council, “New steel and aluminum tariffs could result in motorcycles, ATVs and side-by-sides being pulled from the U.S. market. While MIC and the U.S. powersports industry remain committed to strengthening American manufacturing and American jobs, high tariffs will have the opposite effect. MIC’s Board of Directors met recently to discuss the potentially severe impact of the recently expanded tariffs and ways we can inform our industry about the effects.
Now subject to 50% derivative tariffs are:
• The vast majority of motorcycles with any foreign-produced steel and aluminum
• ATVs with any foreign-produced steel and aluminum components
• Motorcycle parts and accessories with any foreign-produced steel and aluminum components
