SHIFTING GEARS

Tasked with promoting safe and responsible use of UTVs, Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association (ROHVA) is the not-for-for-profit national industry association equivalent to MIC. It even shares some of the same resources as MIC, including Erik Pritchard, president and CEO. However, its members and mission are specifically beyond the scope of MIC.

“The ongoing and valuable efforts of the ROHVA Board of Directors support manufacturers, aftermarket companies and enthusiasts across America,” explains Pritchard, ROHVA in announcing the results of its recent elections. ROHVA’s new Board of Directors has been empaneled with Ryan Stiver of Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA being elected chair. Landon Ball of Textron Specialized Vehicles is vice chair; and Michael Mitchell of Polaris Inc., steps in as secretary/treasurer.

“Side-by-Sides continue to be a vital segment in the powersports industry, and the work of ROHVA’s directors and member companies is crucial to long-term sustainability,” said Stiver, Yamaha’s ATV & Side-by-Side product line manager. “We see to regulatory matters, aid in public land access and provide the opportunity for everyone to learn about safe and responsible vehicle use – both online and through hands-on training – all to ensure customers can recreate for generations to come.”

Four additional directors complete the board: Alexandre Borduas of BRP Inc.; Russ Brenan of Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A.; Colin Miller of American Honda Motor Co., Inc.; and Satyam Talati of Mahindra Automotive North America.
